Look, if you're doing it right, a Frito pie is about 70% grease to start with. And the Fritos are already crunchy. Deep frying adds nothing to the mix except potential grease burns.

I've eaten the chicken-fried bacon. It sucks. The bacon gets way too crispy and loses all flavor. It's like eating a chicken-fried roofing tile. Which I have also eaten.
