Both my mother and grandfather are dyslexic, and the latter has ADD. I remember my mom always telling me that she was so excited when I picked up reading so easily (when I was in 2nd grade I was reading on a 12th grade level).
I mean by the time I reached middle school I read at a college level
And now I can probably(haven't read anything formal in a few years) read at a post college level
I read all the books in my class when I was in Grade 1. I had to go to the next classroom to get new books.

Also, a bear taught me how to read and write. I don't have any hands, and am blind, deaf and dumb.
I have been diagnosed with dyslexia since 2nd grade. Yet I passed my computer course in college with a near perfect grade I was off by 2 points due to one question on my final which I wish to kill myself over because I had the right answer the first time and erased it put a different one. ERRRRRR
BUT my husband who has been a computer technician for 18 years took the exact class the next year and barely passed. Lol
Plus I have a GED and he always gives me Hell about how his diploma is better than my GED. Well he use to till I beat him in grades lol
Shame. She should have been given extra help , assuming that she wasn't a trouble maker (I guess she prove herself later ). Those "teachers" need a new profession . I know that some school systems will destroy a teachers career for trying to do right by their students and getting them extra help. I love good teachers, the useless lazy ones can rot with, dirty cops, and corrupt politicians.
Aw man I know how that feels, I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was 9 (luckily not too bad on the spectrum). School did not help one bit and made me feel so stupid because I couldn't read or write, words were confusing as heck and maths was torture. I used to write backwards, not kidding. Eventually did get help which was AMAZING but not through school. Go prove your worth girl
Because of my dysgraphia I generally try to take notes on my laptop, which is annoying when I have to write equations or draw diagrams, or when there's only about 11% of the battery remaining just after the lecture starts.
Yeah, I got a pretty mediocre final grade thanks to screwing up some stuff around exams, but because I did really well in the STAT that I took the weekend after exams finished, so I still ended up getting into my first preference engineering degree. Now I just need to not screw up with exams again...
I found out I had sever dyslexia when I was 20. Never found because I my brain memorized the overall shape of every word I read. I was always the fastest reader in all my courses since I never actually had to fully look at the words. I was only when I focused on the words that I realized I didn't know what the fuck I was looking at. Graduated with dual degrees in Engineering.
That's so cool! What a neat trick, wish my brain did that haha
I'm glad dyslexia didn't stop you from a mostly math orientated degree that's impressive
I don’t hate her cause she’s a Disney star. There’re plenty of Disney stars I like. I was a little old when her show was on anyways. I just hate her cause she’s awful and annoying.
