Phones weren't allowed to be on sight when I was at school. Not even in the playground. The teacher would have to take it and give you it back at the end of the day
I was on my phone during ever lecture in one class I had because it was really hard to tell what the dude was saying (old prof stuttered and repeated a word 5 or 6 times, couldn't keep a steady tone or volume and occasionally had word choices that made sentences make no sense.) Passed it with a B cause I read the chapters at home. The poster, however, outright admitted to just not paying attention for the sake of phone stuff.
That’s so stupid. I can read a novel and also focus on the class around me. Despite that I’m told not to read at anytime in class (even pauses between questions) but their dumbasses can be on their phones not paying a lick of attention.
Back in 2004 or so we were not allowed to be on our phones in university. If one rang in class the professor would often take the phone until the end of class...it seemed normal then but I guess it's different now
It actually got better when I stated listening to music in the background.
