I went to Toys R Us about 2-3 times, but I could never take anything cuz it was too expensive.

I didn't go because I preferred books and videogames to toys.

I grew up poor, but the one near me had a giant ball pit which had ball guns attached and we had fort wars. It was later taken down but I did barely get a toy. Also mine sold video games so I got 2 the entire time the store was up.

Not only could I never shop there as a kid, I worked there as an adult...and still couldn't afford to shop there.

Didn't have one in the small town I grew up in, and anytime we'd visit someplace that did have one, my parents would always just be like "Sorry, we don't have time" or "Maybe next trip." Never got to step foot in one once as a kid.

Yeah same, grew up in a city without one actually.
