If I'd met a guy who actually liked and wanted flowers, I'd get him flowers. I haven't met a guy who genuinely seems to like getting them, though, so carwash kits and sports/movie memorabilia it is
Guys love getting flowers. They just have issues with showing that they do. It's not really the gift that matters as much as just giving them something. They'll probably have troubles showing it because of how society taught them not to show much, but they do enjoy it.
Source: Kinda a guy (but it's confusing) myself and have talked to guys about this very topic.
Most people just like the fact that you thought about them and took the time to give them a gift even if they aren’t wild about the gift itself. Personally I like getting flowers.
My husband likes getting flowers and isn’t afraid to show it. And I like making him smile. Every once in a while I’ll leave a long ass love letter in his car so he sees it on his way to work and can read it on break. He’s my best friend, why wouldn’t I?
I'm sure there are guys who like flowers, but I've had guys one on one in casual settings tell me they don't like getting flowers at all. Or cards, for that matter.
Clearly not the standard for every male, this is just the ones I've known mostly. I'm the type of person that likes to get people things they'll actually enjoy, so if I knew any of you fellows and thought you'd appreciate flowers, flowers you'd get.
Otherwise it again defaults back to things I think they'll like like "here's one of those dessert thingys you love! Or your favourite beer!"
I don't really care if they give me a huge reaction about it, but giving someone who doesn't enjoy flowers flowers is the equivalent of giving someone itchy socks for christmas. They might appreciate you thinking of them, but they're still gonna go "okay, wtf do I do with this now" after you leave, and I don't like putting people in that situation haha
@kakaburra they're actually pretty fantastic. You can make them yourself or buy them premade and usually come in a bucket filled with cleaning agents and sponges and wax and such. All the things anyone who loves doing more detailing than the basic "run a vacuum through it and drive it to the auto car wash" thing would enjoy
It's sad that the assumption that generally goes around is girls like flowers and guys don't. I don't like getting flowers and I've tried to make it known but still get given flowers occasionally. One time I overheard a convo with two family members and one said that I didn't like flowers and not to give me any. While the other said that I'm a girl and all girls like flowers. I understand the gesture but if people don't like them then don't get them anything. If somebody likes flowers, get them flowers!
Sorry for the long ramble I just wanted to chime in my five cents.
@xvarnah yeah, I've seen them. I guess I never thought about assembling one myself. This would be perfect for my dad, too. He's hard to get anything for. We usually end up cleaning out his truck for him, but this would be good too.

Actually no. You can take your child molester-looking ass and shove it.
Yeah, thats kinda tasteless.
You gotta find the right audience and time, and you did neither, Spiderman.
How about this? We joke about you being a faggot.
I don't think it is. Nobody except my sister has ever noticed without me telling them even if I was sitting right next to them. The only easily visible part is my mascara when I wear it occasionally and even then you have to be looking for it.
Refer to the other guest's comment, you child-molesting, horse-cock-taking, family-fucking, "I call myself a psychopath to excuse my puss poor social skills", shitbrick on a fuckstick.
I have never molested anyone, I haven't had a chance to take a horse cock, the closest to family fucking was being friends with my ex's sister, I don't believe I've ever used that as an excuse as I'm not a psychopath, I don't shit bricks, and I have been known to use a fuckstick in my time.

I thought you said you were a psychopath.
And you advocate for pedophilia.
And you mean a dildo?
Your mere existence is an affront to humanity. YOU are the reason aliens don't contact us. Also, as a side note, psychopaths are completely incapable of making meaningful connections and or relationships with anyone, unlike sociopaths. If you were either of those things, which you most definitely are not as you don't fit a lot of the other requirements to be a member of either party, you're more likely to be a sociopath.
I have never advocated for pedophilia. I am completely against it. I do advocate for equality and therapeutic help for those who are pedophiles as they have no control over those sexual desires. Punishing someone for having desires is completely immoral. Unless a pedophile actually molests a child, they should be treated with the same respect as any other human.
Oh gee, @guest, I'm so glad your five minutes of knowing me is superior to that of two different therapists who studied for years to be able to diagnose me as having ASPD that would have been classified as sociopathy were it still a medical term.
So... some guys like getting flowers as gifts, and I think that's not a bad thing at all.
What kind of flowers would guys like to receive? I'm curious now because a bunch of guys said they like getting them, and also I feel like that would be a pleasant thing to talk about
I suppose the first thing is determining the type of person he is and who you are to him. I actually like flower language and will definitely be the type to see what each flower means even if you didn't think about it as I'm just curious. I would avoid going for a dozen roses simply because it's so common that it may negate some of the meaning.
Overall, I don't think the type of flowers matter as much as just giving them.
I personally like Morning Glory and the Lotus Flower as I like the color blue/violet.
Anywho...on-topic, yeah, it's best not to generalize when giving gifts. Nobody is going to give you a prize for seeing past gender, but your S.O. WILL appreciate you seeing them as an individual and listening well enough to be able to find gifts they enjoy.
This does look staged, but then again we all do crazy things when we're in love. ;) @kakaburra
I got a notification saying someone mentioned me in these post 10 hours ago, but I don’t see any mention of me, and 10 hours ago this whole comment section was a shit show and now I’m paranoid.
