Black cats

Luck is a widespread superstition

When it gets closer to Halloween, shelters normally wont allow you to adopt a black cat because a lot of them get adopted around that time just to be killed

I read an article that claimed both black cats and DOGS took about 10% longer to adopt than any other color :-(

Almost all my farm cats are black or black and white, except for two calico but even they are black based. We have a frequent visitor that's gray.

Honestly black cats, especially with green eyes, are beautiful. I can't get one right now because I'm really happy with my perfect little furry princess and she would probably get sad/jealous if I did but they used to be my dream cats (until I met her) and I still find them really cool.

I remember reading an article about this, and apparently it's because they don't capture well in pictures, so they can't post a 'good' picture of their cat on social media. I wish I was kidding.

I once saw a black cat shoot out of a bush and into a sewer drain, but when I looked with my flashlight they were completely gone. I wonder where that drain lead...

Fun fact a lot of shelters dont allow black cats to be adopted during the Halloween season because they've had widespread issues with them being used in sacrificial ways.

My black adopted cat died by jaw sepsis.
