Especially like... When I'm visiting a city I dont go there thinking "ILL STAY AT THIS VERY PARTICULAR HOTEL."
I plan my trip and think "Hey, I need a hotel." And you know whats convenient to find hotels ? A site that has different hotels, with price comparison and easy booking.
PS : Hotel ? Trivago.
I was getting on fine with most of these until "if I know you're trying to save money I'm going to put you in the worst goddamn room imaginable."
'
Most people staying in most hotels are trying to save money to a degree-- that's why they're staying in a hotel in the first place. If they weren't trying to save money/hassle they'd just buy houses and hire staff in every single city they ever have to spend a night in.
'
Is booking through these websites causing some fundamental inconvenience for employees that I've never heard of? If not, congratulations hotel employee, you didn't tip the bellhop. You're an asshole.
Sidenote - I'm pretty sure most peoples' Internet providers see way more disturbing information than "this guy watched some dirty movie for 7 minutes."
"This guy searched up some very disturbing rapey keywords in his attempt to find porn and settled for blackmail or something idk is that a real genre? Whatever you get the point"
