Admittedly I'm just taking the Smithsonian at their word here, but according to them deodorant was actually originally pushed by a female to solve a very relevant problem that people just refused to acknowledge existed because who needs to stop the stink when you can just douse yourself in perfume instead? - fyi this was also how high society liked to deal with the smell of sewage for a long time

A teacher I had in middleschool always, always entered the classroom then proceeded to say 'It smells like shit in here, open the windows', that one always cracked me up
I am a very nervous person and nervous sweat smells disgusting so I always carry a thing of perfume around or some deodorant. If I feel more depressed that day, I carry both. Because when I am more depressed I care more about what others think about me.
Technically, antiperspirants are not good for your health, and deodorants/perfumes tend to be used waaaay too much as a cheap substitute for taking showers (e.g., anime conventions).
I take a shower every night but wash my hair every other day because washing your hair everyday is damaging to your hair. But I still use perfume because I like smelling like peaches or like cucumbers and mint. My 2 favorite scents.
5 boys that is 10 armpits.
