What scale are we at? Is this an electron microscope image on the order of nm that has been false-colored?

I have a phobia of needles but for some reason this actually makes me feel better about it. I don't know why, it really shouldn't

Maybe because it gives you a greater comprehension of exactly what your body is experiencing, instead of leaving your mind to run wild? Just a theory
