You don't know his home life, amount of sleep, random spike in hormones ect. When you don't sleep you lose your grasp/control on "fully presentable" emotions. TLDR: EVERYBODY HURTS SOMETIMES

The fact that the teacher isnt letting him excuse himself but instead forcing him to stay in class and have a breakdown says more about the teacher versus the kid emotionally collapsing.

The kid may not be emotionally developed in congruence to his age, or he might be having a rough time, and the teacher certainly is unecessarily apathetic to this, as well well as the asshole who took the picture. Let people cry, damn.

I used to have really really bad panic attacks in high school due to overwork (two jobs, honors classes, extra college classes, 2 sports, 5 different honors societies, 4 school clubs..haha all for those college scholarships bc I couldn't afford to pay otherwise) and it was either set off by extremely crowded places or by authoritative chastisement. So I've been reprimanded by teachers before (even just a tiny bit) only to completely lose my ability to function, sobbing like a baby in 0.5 seconds. Really embarrassing, but there's no way to stop it until you're out of the situation and can calm down. I relate is all.

I feel. I would lose all physical and mental functions around the popular crowd in school, especially phys. ed. I would lose all ability to throw a ball, or anything, really. Other students seriously thought I was special needs, and by the time high school came around, some were confused about why I was in National Honor Society.

What sucks most is how people can’t see the weight of mental stress, especially when you’re the oldest sibling and have to put on a strong face...

This is so fucking sad, let him cry in peace. Let him keep whatever dignity he last left.
