That reminds me of something I've been meaning to ask for a while: do some of y'all see a sort of ball composed of smaller balls (like a brightly colored fly eye or a matte disco ball) when you get sleepy? It rolls around and looks like some of the smaller balls are falling from it. I know it's weirdly specific but I've been wondering.
Yes it does a bit! So I'm not the only one yay!!!
I also see almost 100% static when I wake up at night, then it's too strong to distinguish the edges of stuff, like everything's decomposing into static.
My hypothesis about the static (I've never cared enough to look it up), is that it's radiation just beyond the visible spectrum and that our brain registers it subconsciously, it just can't visually process it for us.
My husband is huge anxiety huge hypochondriac. He told me for years he thought he was going slowly blind because he could see these little floaty things whenever he would focus on nothing just look and I'll send him would see them. I said what do you mean he said they're like these little squiggle things and they float around in front of me and I tried to like catch them and I can't when I try to focus on them they move away from me I think I'm going blind. I said wait a minute and I looked up a picture about them and I show them to him I said are these what you see I said oh my God yes what does it mean I said you idiot is your eyeballs dirty. You get these everyone does.
