Most guys I've met that are circumcised say they'd rather be circumcised than not.
.
Not a commentary one way or the other on whether it should be done - I'm not gonna debate anyone on that. Just a stand alone observation.
In fairness though- how do they know? Some guys get circumcised later in life but usually it is done when either they’d have no or little memory- and almost never when they are already sexually active. I mean- most blind people don’t wish they could see- and most of my friends with breast implants are very happy with them. That doesn’t mean we should blind babies or start giving pubescents implants because “most people like it” or because “it’s a common preference.”
Like I said - not a commentary on whether it should be done. Not gonna debate it
.
They usually say they prefer the way it looks compared to uncircumcised penises. That could admittedly be bias because it's what familiar to them, but who knows. I'm just offering the general feedback I've encountered
I've been with a girl who was talking down on uncut guys while we were fooling around, she went on to say that she's glad I'm not one of those weirdos.
"Do you know what uncircumcised looks like?"
"Well yeah, duh"
"Sorry babe, but I don't think you do..."
All my friends were talking about how they think an uncut penis is gross and in all fairness I had a but of a bias too but now I honestly couldn't care less. A penis is a penis
I know it’s mostly done for religious purposes, but what does it do really? Does it leave lasting pain? I know very little about the topic in general so any info or opinions are welcome
Iirc from a medical point of view there were some studies that found the foreskin harbours a decent amount of mucus and bacteria and removing it SUPPOSEDLY helps prevent things like urinary tract infections and stds, and also lowers the seriousness of UTIs, particularly in infants.
.
As for whether it leaves lasting pain - I imagine it hurts a decent amount for a decent while after the procedure, and @famousone mentioned it apparently can lead to duller nerves later on, but I've not heard any males complaining about being in pain years after or anything (unless something is done incorrectly)
Well they're largely talking about infants with the UTIs. I've never cleaned a baby's foreskin so I can't comment on that, just saying they reportedly found it dramatically reduces UTIs and Hospitalization as a result
It supposedly reduces UTI and makes it easier to “keep clean,” but yeah- that second part is just like... wash the damn thing. I knew a kid who had to get circumcised in elementary school because he didn’t keep it clean. He didn’t enjoy that. That’s another part of why they do it to babies- just in case you’re that unlucky kid/guy who has to get circumcised later in life when you’ll remember it and it might effect you. As a baby you (probably) don’t remember or have any effect from it and you don’t have a huge social life or school or work to worry about- so they figure “just get it out of the way...”
But also supposedly HPV and certain other things are also easier to catch for guys with foreskin. As far as we currently know- HPV doesn’t do anything to guys when contracted through the genitals- but it’s also supposed to be a step to preventing that.
Beyond religion there are also cultural beliefs. I’ve talked to friends from abroad and heard folk beliefs from “it helps prevent kids from playing with themselves” to “it makes your penis less sensitive so you can be a better husband..” etc. None really have strong medical backing and are subjective of course- but those are some of the “non medical” “non religious reasons I’ve heard.
I’m happy you are cause I find non circumcised ones a little weird but that’s just a personal thing. If you hadn’t been I wouldn’t have ever brought it up but since you’re happy with it I’m glad you are XD I couldn’t care less about what anyone else does with their or their children’s penises Hahha as long as parents that choose to circumcise their kids do it at a hospital in a safe environment and aren’t just snipping boys left and right with some hedge clippers I don’t see the issue. I have yet to meet someone that’s been circumcised say they wish they hadn’t been or even that they wish it was left as a choice. But since I don’t have a dick I can’t really say if the pros outweigh the cons I can only say that if I had to choose between a cut and uncut dick I would just personally prefer the circumcised one. Piercing ears is like a very minuscule example of things I can weigh in on that parents didnt leave to choice. I’m glad my ears got pierced as a kid
Every male I know who IS circumcised has said they are glad it happen and that it happen as a baby.
Every male I met who IS NOT circumcised has said they wish they were and that they are WAY TO SCARED to do it now.
But I get what they're saying.
It's pretty messed up that yeah it's something that happens when you really think about it. I mean they're just babies they're just little boys and they do this to them. Worse is there's actually been cases where the freaking person fucks up and mutilates the poor thing. And no joke there really has been boys raised as girl because of that accident.
There is actually a guy who was raised as a girl because they mutilated his private parts when they tried to give him a circumcision. He had a twin brother who was first and was fine.
The doctors told the parent we can leave him like this or make him a girl. They went for girl. He went to a psychiatrist that forced the idea of being a girl in his head so badly that he even made him stand naked beside his brother to show that he was not a boy. He was a preteen when he found out the truth. He layer got married with a woman who loved him no matter what. She had kids already and he loved them as his. But sadly a few years after his twin brother killed himself he did as well
Way I heard it, that creepy fuck of a psychiatrist was also making the kids simulate sex acts together, and that he forbid adults from being present for many sessions.
