THIS. That ad being shown for one event couldn’t possibly make those doctors feel as good as the 6million going towards helping the clinic or for research

I’m not sure wether or not that would be money well spent- but at the very least there sure are a lot of dogs without homes or with humans who can’t afford to take care of things like cancers or operations that $6mill could help with. That said.... I dunnoh. The “average” person in the developed world will spend about $2-3 million dollars in their lives. We can take that two ways- 1 way is the callous “instead of animals you could help at least 2 humans with nothing to have an “average” American life- or many more in less developed countries- or we could take it and say: A “solid” budget is 50% of your pay on essentials. That means the “average” person fucks off at least 1-1.5 million dollars on things they don’t need in a life time. So...

We could say the person spent their money poorly or could have helped this many animals or people or opened a school in South America or whatever- but... we will all spend around at least $1 million dollars on things we don’t need in life- and well- there are people in the world that if you sent even a fraction of that- just a couple hundred a month to- it would change their lives. Donating just a couple hundred a month to a cause over the life time of many people- that’s a huge amount. But... we don’t. So I mean... I can’t really say much about how this person spent their money as I myself have never donated even $1 million to an animal charity. I used to volunteer at the local shelter and help care for and socialize the animals- but in actual money I doubt I’ve ever even given $1,000 to an animal charity. This person could give lots of money- but so could we.

If your car was even $10k- you could have bought a bike or an older used and donated the rest. TV’s laptops iPads and tablets.... every single one a chance to give that we had and decided to do something else.
