Nah. He was still convicted of selling weapons but got immunity for testifying. There's a reason Iran-Contra was kept a secret and the Reagan administration did everything they could to sweep it under the rug.
Because the administration was involved up to the highest levels. As distasteful as it was, it was preferable to the alternative.
Much like dealing with the Mujahedeen or having a Soviet Middle East.
The real problem with Iran-Contra wasn't the missiles in the ME, it was the flooding of drugs throughout specific populations within the US by the CIA itself. Nobody gives a fuck when people bomb each other in a desert, but when you have crackheads in the backyard? Everyone WILL shift their focus.
I mean, that's true. They've waged war on ideas and were in defense of holidays (obviously for all the wrong reason as nobody was attacking)... It's funny though.. it started about 3 months ago... one guy was critical of Trump and he went on a twitter rampage over it. About a month ago you have 3 people being critical, another twitter rampage, but longer... about three days ago you have 9 people being critical and an even louder twitburst... You see the pattern right?
Much like dealing with the Mujahedeen or having a Soviet Middle East.
