Science should always be questioned, and always be challenged. That is how we move forward. However, evidence should not be ignored simply because you disagree with it.
I agree with everything, except your choice of the word alternate. That's how the pseudoscience crowd gets their foot undeservedly in the door with their alternative evidence and alternative facts.
If you have "alternative evidence" that challenges the status quo, that isn't cherry picked or biased, that's not alternative evidence. That's evidence.
Seriously? You try to bring up a logical scientific question, but that Prof with 4 degrees and 3 diplomas tells you to STFU, sit down and learn what I say. Happens ALL THE TIME, so then certain sciences must also be a religion or a cult.
Some people teach for the money and not the students. I'm sorry you experienced that. But you can still question science on your own with some books, articles etc.
You can question it all you want, but some things are pretty obvious and when you keep on questioning when obvious evidence to the contrary has been presented, don't get mad when people think you're an idiot, you're crazy, or you're both.
what is obvious is relative, if you look around you right now there is no indication that the earth isn't flat for most people especially if you haven't ever been told that the earth is round, for generations it was obvious that earth was the center of the universe, for ages it was obvious that the entire world was all connected by land save for a couple small islands. It's obvious that there's no other land we've gone out that way for ages before and there's just sea forever. We literally carved into stone "non terra plus ultra" to signify that there was no land west of the straights of Hercules.
