People have intrinsic value, regardless of their dumb beliefs
Sadly most people are more inclined to attack anyone who doesn't conform to every single idea they regurgitate, and then blame them when they respond poorly.

It is indeed regrettable. Though I understand designations like "commie" and "pedo" are more in fashion nowadays. But I suppose it depends on personal preference.
American politics has never been very cordial. The difference between today and yesteryear is that with news and social media the division dial has been cranked to 11.
To be honest, nothing about America is cordial. Its built on a foundation of lies and deceit. It begins and ends with our governments and we are their pawns.
For the most part the american people are very cordial. Almost too cordial, as far as Europeans are concerned.
Government is government. No government is without sin nor care about the people they represent/control outside of keeping their power.
