That’s a false equivalency. Improving safety regulations in regards to hot air balloons isn’t taking hot air balloons away from people that run hot air ballon related things in a safe manner already, it’s not even taking hot air balloons away from people that do it unsafely, it’s forcing people who are using hot air balloons unsafely to, while keeping said balloons, not use them in a way that hurts innocent people.
That’s the equivalent of hitting individuals who, in the past have or plan to in the future, use guns in a way that hurts innocent people while not doing anything to people who already have no real risk of harming an innocent individual, comparing it to gun control as generally gets put forth after a shooting is fallacious.
Twitter is a fascinating social experiment on just how loudly some people are willing to broadcast their own stupidity and inability to comprehend the complexities of the problems they're attempting (and failing) to address
I find it funny how many people don't want Americans to own private firearms, but I suspect very few are willing to put their neck on the line to make that happen. I am more afraid of an enemy with a scoped .270 Remington bolt action with hollow nose rounds than any madman with any semi auto. Keep pushing this bull you guys, more people are starting to realize they can even make their own guns :)
Man, McDonald’s has really hardened up their happy meals. Who thought it was a good idea to need government purchase request forms and a background check to get a happy meal toy?
Am I correct in remembering the reason McDonald’s toys are not a thing anymore is because of some law stuff coming in and saying you can’t market food to children through toys or something like that? I know I remember something about why but barely at all. I do remember being fully STOKED to get a toy tho.
I am convinced after reading some gun laws that no single or multiple gun law is smart, thought out, or reasonable. It's made by people who are afraid of firearms, for people who are afraid of firearms.
Most are made by people who know almost nothing about them, which at best makes them ineffective, and most are not enforced. If we want to start making a real impact, we need to start enforcing existing laws
