Did you not SEE charmander's story arc? Not to mention all his forms are aesthetically appealing - something I definitely can't say for most of the following gens
From each gen: Squirtle, Cyndaquil, Treeko, Chimchar, Oshawott, Chespin, Popplio, and Grookey.
I like others too (Turtwig, Torchic, Froakie, Rowlet, Scorbunny, etc), but if I was forced to choose, this is who it would be
basically all the fire ones cept tepig and litten. On those I go with Oshawott and Rowlet instead for my main game, then I trade over the others on my secondary game. Froakie is also cool
The former bc it carried me through the gen 3 remakes, and I like the design, and the latter bc bnnuy.
