Right now my kid isn't home so she is safe. But I grab the animals, my phone, my computer, our external, my kid's computer, my purse, my woobie (don't judge me lmao), the book my dad gave me, and any pictures we have on the fridge and our wedding photo. Only reason I grab my computers, phone, and external is for family pictures and videos. Once that is all out side I will try to get anything else like clothes or my kids toys what ever I can save I will try.
Now this is only if the place is a loss cause. Cause if not I am fighting that shit while yelling at others to get my shit.
No it is the name of the blanket I had since I was born. I still have it and I plan to be buried with it folded under my head as my pillow. It is tattered and torn so I keep it in a zipped pillow case on my bed. My Dad named it my "Woobie" when I was still a baby.
I know, I know you are asking how old I am and why do you still have? I am 34, my husband knows about it he even steals it from me and sleeps with it sometimes, and I still have it because it is the only thing I have that I have had my whole life. And I plan to spend all eternity with it.
O gawd while writing this I know I sound crazy lmao. But alot of people have stuffes animals or baby blanket. So atleast I am not the only one crazy. Lmfao
I'm 27 and I still have my rattle bear from when I was born. I keep him in a special plastic case by my bed because I loved him too much and he's falling apart :(
Mine use to be this beautiful yellow gigerham blanet that was a solid on one side but the other was dimond patched with white patches and in this white patches was little milkmaid girls with little pockets. And each little girl was made with 3 diffrent patterbs not a single one the same.
But sadly through the years it lost most the milkmaids and became thin, rough, and brittle. I don't take it out of it's pillow case. Last time I did was 5 years ago because the pillow case it use to be in fell apart.
My husband is 55 and has a bear from when he was a baby. I have my lamb from when I was a baby. And my kids both have their lambs too so yeah- those are my big ticket items. Although I guess I would also try to grab my husband's collection of autographed music memorabilia since it's worth a shit ton of money.
I think everyone would take their jewelry if family members were safe. If it melts down, there's no saving that. Also family pictures are important too. Everything else is material
Assuming my children and husband are already out and safe- I would grab my lamb I've had since I was a baby, my husband's bear he's had since he was a baby, and my kid's baby books and their lambs. They're all very close together so I don't have to rush around in a fire.
