I used to look after my neighbors dogs when he was away on business, one black lab and one black poodle, named McGregor and Marie (he is excessively Scottish). Marie used to goad McGregor into doing thing that were against the rules, like getting on the couches and eating treats from the drawer, then prance about like a little queen.
You're correct that they're most aggressive but the lethality of the breeds when they are aggressive is the issue people have with pits, rotties, and dobermans. That's the argument to be had when discussing the legal status of these breeds.
So because they have a higher POTENTIAL for damage, rather than the higher inclination yowards aggression we should outlaw them? Okay, so you have to inclue every German Shepherd, mastiff, wolf hound, husky, ect. Breeds aren't the problem, its individuals within a breed. If an individual shiws signs if aggression it needs to be addressed. Why punish an entire breed for the actions of a tiny percentage?
1. I never gave a stance on the argument
2. I only stated the argument to be had
3. I own a pit currently, owned a rotty, and a German shepherd at one point until they died of old age. I'm very much aware that it's individuals that are the problem not the entire breed but if something were to happen these breeds are the ones who tend to be significantly more lethal than others.
The issue of the gun argument comes down to left leaning media portraying civilian rifles as assault weapons. If they could get away from the fearmongering and vilification of gun owners they would have a much better chance of getting legislation through. The fight for the middleman has pretty well died in American politics as both the right and left leaning parties are just virtue signaling at this point and think they're the only right ones while the other side are only wrong.
Yesterday morning i was cycling to work & v angry barking Yorkshire terrier runs at me off lead. Owner"he'll just bark at you" dog was right under my wheel, so i stopped so i didn't hit him & then he went to bite my ankle. Owner"it would only have been a nip" picked dog up(still barking) and left the park.
Owned a dachshund and Chihuahua mix i loved him but he was the biggest jackass ever. I now own a jack russell and she is the biggest bitch I know even among humans. So yeah
in my teens many moons ago i worked as a groomer and this is true but add cocker spaniels to the list. and you got to be careful with chows. the problem is little dogs go off for no reason and no warning big dogs will usually let you know to stop what you are doing or else .the other thing is usually little dogs go for the face. if you see a woman with a scar on her face good chance she had a little dog at some point in time.
My best friend growing up had a Rottweiler named Love and it was the sweetest kindest dog I ever met. Only thing scare about it was it's size her head was as big as a basket ball lol.
My sister's Rottweiler is adorable! She's sweet, kind and loves to lick your ears. She also sings along to I Love Rock and Roll as well as Who Let The Dogs Out lol
