Y'all can't even pretend you're not a weird satellite digital family.
'
Also, interesting to see @Bethorien getting violent, as opposed to hugging everyone.
@bethorien was unintended guys, but she‘s helping us learn to endure hits. So you guys should each grab a pan and start smacking her.
@xvarnah I summoned you for the post, but beth had other ideas.
@Jasonmon Beth will still try to smack us in her ghost form, so I might as well bring her back
@shikharizard Beth is upset because we slapped the chicken
@dr_richard_ew Bring in the chicken!!
@catfluff Mrow?
(It‘s all about beth today lol)
@Xvarnah
Oh, not limiting your potential at all, just giving you the benefit of the doubt ;)
.
Also... *innocent voice* whatever do you mean? I was simply describing routine farm animal abuse. It wasn’t an analogy! How dare you imply such a thing?
Fun fact: when I take chicken out of the deep fryer at work its referred to as "pulling the chicken"
A few days ago my coworker walked up to me on my break (I left some chicken to cook while I went on my break for them to bring up once it was done) and his exact words were
*locks eyes with me*
"I'm gonna pull your chi-wait nevermind that sounds weird"
*walks away as I'm laughing my ass off*
@xvarnah The only police officer available is @bethorien and she doesn‘t take it seriously.
@shikharizard Define: “...abuse myself ;)“
@grimreaper What does Shik mean?
@dr_richard_ew Where‘s your star? :O
(Yes, Avi‘s asking the questions today)
I thought I was tagged for the post and planned to comment "triple Ross"
but turned out it's just my reputation spreading like chilly pepper on pussy of that girl who slept with another girl's man.

@Xvarnah true story. I made her *** so hard she started early, and bled all over my brand new white sheets.
.
@Rosalinas have you always been like this or did someone wrong you in some way. You frighten me.
when i was tiny (3-4 years old) i liked to play with knives (i still do now), my father told me "if you cut yourself, i will beat your ass."
so everytime i accidentally cut my fingers, i'd hide the bleeding behind my back when my father asked if i cut my hand (he knew i did) and then sucked my fingers till the blood stopped, my father was intrigued by my behaviour so he let me continue what i was doing.
that was my childhood.

From the time when I was 4 until the age of 19 my dad was so brutally tough on me, I literally stopped loving my parents. I couldn’t remember what love felt like for almost 15 years- I’m still not sure I know. For what other kids wouldn’t even get told off about, I would get grounded for a month. In total, I was probably grounded for about 3-4 years of my life cumulatively, and groundings were the best case scenario. My dad waged psychological warfare, so I learned the game well. I couldn’t really turn to my parents for help- with anything, so in a way I kind of raised myself. I never, ever brought problems to them, big or small. I just dealt with them or tried to deal with them myself. At 19 I moved out and told my parents to fuck off. After 6 years of them trying I finally told them how little I care, and about 3 months ago I cut ties for good.
That was my childhood. Not quite as bloody though :)
.
I like this game, who’s turn is it next?
nah, i like my childhood. my parents love me dearly in their own ways.
they let me thrive wildly like poison ivy in an abandoned castle that's why i am what i am now.
@shikharizard You made a girl do what now? Also we have similar childhoods. I was “grounded“ for a bit over 9 years and left at 15. My mom isn‘t alive, and my dad‘s a big mess too.
@grimreaper Shik‘s being weird again!
@rosalinas You‘re the kind of big sister I‘d want to have so no one bothers me in school
Also @shikharizard I think I'm starting to understand what you meant when you said you've had stress. Good grief.
'
Though, idk if you know what love looks like, but it sounds like you know what love feels like. Disclaimer-- this comment wasn't related to the one you just made, and it wasn't meant to be innuendo, but for some reason it sounds like it anyway. I'm pretty sure this is your fault somehow
'
I'm also starting to think I see why you tell it like you see it. With that much emotional bullshit for that long it makes sense you'd decide to wash your hands of beating around the bush.
'
As a side note-- I don't know what the game is, but I don't remember being 4 years old, and my parents never let me play with knives, so I may not be qualified to play
@bethorien the young man (@grimreaper) only cares about one young lady here :)
.
@xvarnah the children are 18 and 17 respectively. It’s time to grow up. And who better to help them cross the threshold with some good old-fashioned corruption.
.
And yeah it is what it is. We all had some shit to deal with, this was mine
.
@Rosalinas I didn’t say I didn’t enjoy it. Trial by fire. It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t fun, but as a result now I’m unbreakable. My parents love my dearly as well- I just don’t love them.
.
And come now, was eating dirt the best you could do? We’ve all done that.
@xvarnah Based on your reaction, I probably shouldn‘t ask @dr_richard_ew to translate.
@grimreaper What‘s going on? Why are you covering my eyes?
@rosalinas I‘ve played with knives and matches as a kid.
@shikharizard Why corruption? *cries*
@bethorien I think you know what Shik meant. You probably should stay
@Grimreaper Why are you yelling? *cries*

Corruption is good for you.
@shikharizard well aviva's a special case haha. Though I don't think she's as naive as she may come off haha. But I'm mostly willing to let people fend for themselves. I'm also not entirely convinced your plan isn't to make Grim's head explode <.<

@xvarnah OMG. Great idea. So who would reap the reaper? @grimreaper
.
Rumour has it: seasons don’t fear the reaper. Nor do the wind and the sun and the rain.
@shikharizard I remember when my brothers and I loved burning stuff because we thought it would make it rain. Our dad almost caught us once, but he was too much in a hurry to notice anything. I can swear he had the sharpest sense of smell among us.
@grimreaper I think the internet has spilled dirt all over your mind already, but I could be wrong.
@bethorien Don‘t make me feel like I‘m getting kidnapped by them.
@xvarnah I‘m not very naive, but I don‘t get dirty jokes or references.

@xvarnah Not you too, momma bear!! :O
Wow, this conversation has taken some turns since I last checked in. I'm someone's dad now? Okay. I choose... @grimreaper. We both had wild 2018s, and I'll go to bat for him. Sorry, grim's actual dad!

Or, considering the "irl community" chat right happening now, I'm the generic funsub dad to everyone thanks to @xvarnah lol
@shikharizard I'm confused as to what just happened but hopefully you're okay

@Xvarnah the young lady I spent my evening wish looked nothing like her pictures.. was not attractive.. actually smelled, like had BO.

Like wtf. Do people not make an effort for a first date anymore. Texted me literally 7 mins after I dropped her off, when the second date is.. BITCH ITS NEVER, GO BUY SOME DEODORANT
@shikharizard I‘m ashamed of you(lol)!

@grimreaper bro I’m 25..
.
@aviva actually I lied. Though my heart is shattered beyond repair, I can’t change the fact that my ex, who was the first and only person I’ve ever loved was the best first date I’ve ever been on. And we did not have sex. I didn’t really think the answer through before I answered.
.
And it’s not very risky, I don’t think. I’m clean and safe, I expect the same from my partners.
.
Say what you gotta say. This is a safe place.
@shikharizard For some reason, I could tell you were heart broken. What happened?(You‘re in no way obligated to answer that).
.
Expectations aren‘t gurantees though.
.
Now you mentioned being hurt, it‘s not a good idea to mention it(at least at this time).
deleted
@aviva haha, idk how you could tell that, but very intuitive if you could.
.
Not an unusual tale. I fell in love with someone who never fell in love with me.
.
Why is it not a good idea to mention it? Let’s not harp on about it, but I’m not ashamed of it. Is there some reason I should be?
.
@grimreaper I suppose, but definitely a past generation.
@shikharizard Yay!
.
Oooo tell me about it. Don‘t leave out the details lol
.
I don‘t understand this ---> “Let’s not harp on about it, but I’m not ashamed of it. Is there some reason I should be?“
@shikharizard ugh that's annoying. Was the pic even of her or did she use a completely different person/completely retouched one?
'
@aviva "harping on" basically means to carry on and on about something. He's saying (as far as I can tell) he doesn't mind talking about what happened, but he doesn't see any reason to drag the topic out, either.
@xvarnah I figured, I just wasn‘t sure. Is he‘s also saying he‘s not ashamed of the situation with the girl that broke his heart?

@Xvarnah thanks mama bear. See, you get me. And they were definitely of her, just... VERY flattering. Probably outdated as well. I wasn’t expecting a model, but respectfully, I wasn’t told to expect a truck either.
.
@Aviva you and I are not communicating clearly lol.
.
Was your “yay” indicating that you’re happy you guessed right about me, or that you’re happy I got my heart broken? Haha.
.
And yes, I’m not ashamed of what happened. It doesn’t reflect badly on me, but I don’t want to discuss it to death either. If you have specific questions, I’ll answer them. You also said it’s not a good idea or a good time to mention it. Why?
@shikharizard I'd just like to say that it would be much easier for me and Aviva to discuss you like you're not here and hypothesize on what you meant if you didn't interject.
'
Still, that's unfortunate. :/ I mean, you don't have to take pics of the warts on your feet for these profiles, but you should still be as honest as possible. If you choose to post pics that misrepresent to an extreme degree then you have to accept than you're now setting yourself up with someone who is likely only interested in the part you represented. It just sets everyone up for frustration, surprise, a lack of trust, and usually disappointment. And now I'm preaching to the choir-- you'd think I was the one who had the bad date.
'
Also, @Aviva 's yay was definitely in regards to her intuiting that you had your heartbroken-- not celebrating that it happened haha

@Xvarnah Hahahaha, I love it. Please feel free, I don’t mind. Conject away, and I will speak again only when a comment is specifically directed at me ;)
@shikharizard I know lol. Should I be jealous of momma bear for understanding you better than I did?
.
I said “yay“ because of your response when I guessed right. I‘m not a jerk or a sick person to be happy about that. I know how it feels to be heart broken(not dating-wise but in friendships, and even by family members, etc).
.
Does it bring back feelings you‘d rather avoid when you talk about it? And ok. I meant it was not a good time to mention what I wanted to say earlier because you brought up being heart broken, and it didn‘t seem like the right time to tell a joke

Hahaha @aviva you’d have to ask mama @xvarnah. She definitely ‘gets’ everything I’m saying- as to whether that’s pleasant or unpleasant for her is debatable. Though I think I have a hunch which way she’d go ;)
.
And I suppose so, but not something I’m incapable of taking about. It happened, it sucked. Gotta move on regardless of some pain. If I absolutely couldn’t talk about something I just wouldn’t have brought it up.
@Xvarnah I enjoyed this conversation. I miss it. Right down to the colourful imagery and you walking away from my comments. I also miss being allowed to corrupt @Aviva

To be honest, yeah it was gross, but life goes on. Women go through so much shit for men, from time to time, I feel like it’s almost fair I took one for the team. She definitely enjoyed the experience ;)
Can confirm the taste of human blood isn't bad. The taste is very hmmm idk g to describe it, you have to try it yourself (if you're interested ofc)

@Xvarnah I imagine you would know better than me, but it just seems like in modern relationships girls go through a lot of crap for men. And in most cases, what women do is almost taken for granted or ‘expected’.
.
I HATE being taken for granted so I’m sensitive to that, and I don’t think its very fair. Also just periods- and everything that goes with that.
@Catfluff you're a cat. She's a human. You are within your feline rights to be commenting on the taste of human blood as opposed to others..
.
She on the other hand is just scary af
I've been watching and reading bunches of gore stuffs late it so my brain is at its perk (I was avoiding anything that's blood related for a very very long time as I know what those things do to me but I lost it now)

@Rosalinas Jesus you sound like a damn vampire. I just hope you suck everything else as well as you suck blood
Tbh I don't find rat blood and human blood smell much different
'
@shikharizard Idk I think men go through a lot for women, too. The ones worthwhile, anyway. Periods do sick, however, so we've got the market cornered in that regard
deleted
@Xvarnah TBH I haven't spent much time comparing the blood of different species, so I'm going to duck out on this one
.
And we do! But like you said, its for the worthwhile women to show recognition of that effort from men- like it's for the worthwhile men to recognize that in women. At least.. that's how I see it.
Actually I prefer the prey being alive so you may have a little inconvenience.
My preferences are cute boy/girl from 13 to 18 and handsome man from 35 to 45.
I'm picky.
@shikharizard well rats are the only ones I'm familiar with currently. I haven't spent time with the corpses of other animals as of yet
'
Pretty much. Although what makes a person "worthwhile" varies sometimes from person to person

@Rosalinas That won't be a problem. When we get to the bar, just pick someone who looks tasty and I'll beat the **** out of them. You should be able to draw a shot, fresh from the source. Shall we call it a date?
.
@Xvarnah Are you planning on spending significant amounts of time around other animal corpses?!
.
And yes, but I think for 99% of well-adjusted people, the majority of "preferred traits" would be similar or identical. Jury's still out as to whether I count as "well-adjusted".
@shikharizard one rarely plans these sorts of ordeals. It's always better when it's a surprise
'
Haha I suppose, although most of us end up disagreeing on exactly how we want those traits portrayed. I didn't realize any of us were well adjusted
@Xvarnah Always better when.. Are you a psychopath?
.
I think we quite often hear or see only what we want to see. Part of why a lot of potentially great partners get passed over, and we deliberately make poor choices instead. And that's an encouraging thought- we're all bonkers!
.
@Rosalinas Duhhhh. That's why I said I'd do it.
@shikharizard you have no proof
'
Most likely. Or else we decide an entirely benign behaviour is actually beyond annoying and we let it grate on us. Tbh you seem to have a very well established idea of what a relationship should be like and what you want out of it
deleted
@Xvarnah hah, you assume I’d sell you out. I’d ask for lessons. Never know where those skills could come in handy
.
Yeah, it’s always baffled me the things people let bother them. Within the realm of reasonable, virtually nothing my exes did ever bothered me- but each asked me it give up or change some of my most obscure habits.
.
I do- but it’s comforting to hear someone else say it. Do you?
@shikharizard I'm pretty sure there's people who could give you better lessons on how to be a psychopath
'
Haha sometimes I can understand it. I know there's little things that annoy me. It's just interesting sometimes seeing what things people prioritize or what can be deal breakers
'
From what I've seen you seem to know exactly what you want-- and what you don't, and how much you're willing to give to make something like that work
'
I don't honestly know Haha, so I guess I don't
He was the absolute worst.
The list of what he did wrong is so long it is insane.
But let's get a list going lol
Starting with:
Dated one of his college students.
I mean, Joey deliberately attempted to convince an 18 year old to be his roommate, disabled the locks on the bathroom when Rachel moved in, removed the shower curtains...
'
Monica literally had sex with a 16-18 year old (can't remember his exact age). She DID cut it off once she realized he wasn't in early twenties, but still. She also had a relationship with a man twice her age. Perhaps the Gellars just have age issues, idk. That doesn't account for the power dynamic of a professor-student relationship seen in Rosa's scenario, mind you. Monica also then tried to have a relationship with the guy's son. In her own words all of this is a bit... icky.
'
Rachel evidently was quite likely stat-raped or molested based on the commentary of her and Monica over the father of a guy they used to babysit (who liked to make out with the babysitters, though a specific age for the babysitters is never given-- seeing how close in age Monica and the boy now seem, it's safe to assume they were teenagers) Which isn't necessarily a comment on her, just something I remembered on this vein.
'
From what I can recall, Chandler, ironically, is probably the one with the healthiest relationship track record overall

All I’m hearing is it’s ok to date your students. Thank you @Xvarnah
That wasn't really my intended take away, haha. Just that they all have some pretty dysfunctional relationships, age often being a factor.
'
Phoebe went on the date with that guy who lost his cellphone who was much older than her, Rachel also dated that jock guy who was a student (but not her student), but she was doing this as a revenge-mance against Ross iirc. Which is, y'know, healthy
Ya know I'm starting to realise that all the friends characters (except my fav boy Chandler) are kind of complete dicks.

Hehehe, I’m mostly just needling @mrscollector but I also think the whole teacher-student thing has become a little overly vilified.
.
If people love, like or are just attracted to each other. Que será será. In Ancient Greece teachers used to hook up with students all the time. The transfer of knowledge was considered an intimate, passionate act. Feelings were caught. Sex was had. Ross dated a student. The world kept spinning.
@calvinoot I’ve watched a lot of friends, but I don’t remember it that wel. But to my memory, Joey was always a dumb, hungry, horndog, but I don’t remember him being a bad dude. Chandler definitely wasn’t. Arguments can be made for the rest I suppose, but I still don’t think their characters were “bad people”
The teacher-student dynamic has issues mainly due to two reasons:
-power inequality
-age
'
The age thing depends a bit. I don't personally like the age difference between Ross and Elizabeth, however they're both adults and the gap isn't as huge as Monica and Richard, so my personal preference is negligee
'
The power dynamic is the real issue as teachers can and easily have used their roles to try and extort students. Similarly students have attempted to trade sex for better grades. It convoluted and corrupts the system due to this, and so it's much simpler to ban it entirely to protect everyone than devolve into a he-said/she-said (or he-said/he-said, she-said/she-said etc) situation of bribery or rape. I think it's *preferable* if it doesn't happen, however, depending on the situation, it's not entirely horrific behaviour.
As for them being terrible people. I mean, not really. They made bad decisions sometimes.
'
Just to counterbalance:
'
-Ross, of course, the whole homecoming thing. That aside, he went out with Emily originally specifically so Rachel would be able to go on a date with another guy.
He got Joey a job at his museum.
Seems to be a good father to Ben.
When his ex-wife wanted to call off her wedding to marry the woman she cheated on Ross repeatedly with due to her parents not supporting her, Ross not only talked her back into it but walked her down the aisle
'
Monica allowed Rachel to move in with her and helped her get back on her feet despite Rachel ignoring her for years.
She was willing to have shark-porn for her
Provided tons of free food for everyone over the years and always cooked holiday meals in all the styles everyone wanted
Joey was willing to marry Phoebe or Rachel when he found out about the pregnancy just so they wouldn't have to go through it alone (considering he loved being single this was a pretty big deal relatively)
He always was willing to back any of his friends up
Was willing to put aside his feelings both so Chandler could date the velveteen rabbit girl, and during the whole "having a crush on Rachel phase 1" thing
'
Chandler could be an ass at times, but he wasn't a bad guy by far.
chandler moved joey back into the apartment via tricking the other dude into thinking they joey never moved out by moving all of his stuff out of the apartment and moving all of joeys back in and lying to the guy
That guy was a nutjob that Chandler had told to move out repeatedly and refused to do so, who had accused Chandler of fucking his girlfriend (who he met once), killing his goldfish (who was a cracker), and taking him to Las Vegas to buy him shoes (they never went on a trip together anywhere). The guy also snuck into Chandler's room to watch him sleep. Repeatedly. Context matters
@shikharizard I liked Joey because he was like, a good person, he made mistakes but he genuinely was a nice guy and I don't mean nice guy as in r/niceguy I mean actual nice guy. So yeah, he wasn't the worst and neither was Chandler. Rest were... uhhh.

@calvinoot yeah bro, I gave up. Y’all way too intense about friends. I feel like I might get hurt if I stick around too long
Haha I've just actually been rewatching it lately. And I've noticed there's a rather intense hate for Ross and Chandler lately among people (not specifically on this website) and it kind of confused me so I've been trying to pay a bit more attention to try and find where it comes from, but I'm coming to the conclusion it's just personality quirks that don't click with people. Just like real life
I just finished watching all ten seasons over the last six or eight months and this thread is bringing back some funny moments.
,
When they were first airing, I related to Ross the most but now I'm a mixture of Joey and Chandler, and Ross' helpless attitude about everything makes me want to grab him and yell at him.
Haha when I first watched it I was too young to understand it. I've watched it a couple times since then and still occasionally notice something new
'
Honestly the biggest personality flaw that I've realized since then and just can't really write off is how Rachel constantly only wants Ross if he's with someone else and almost always manages or tries to interfere in his relationships (Julie, Emily, Bonnie, the girl from the baby store, etc). There's a few exceptions, and Ross certainly returns the favour a few times, but it rarely seems to reach quite the same level.
'
I don't know who I related to the most, but Chandler is definitely the one to usually make me laugh the most on the show
*revives @bethorien *

I'm also starting to think I see why you tell it like you see it. With that much emotional bullshit for that long it makes sense you'd decide to wash your hands of beating around the bush.
'
As a side note-- I don't know what the game is, but I don't remember being 4 years old, and my parents never let me play with knives, so I may not be qualified to play
'
@grimreaper cover aviva's eyes and kindly escort her away from the chat
TAKE ME AWAY TOO
Why would I eat dirt? Why would anyone?
@grimreaper What‘s going on? Why are you covering my eyes?
@rosalinas I‘ve played with knives and matches as a kid.
@shikharizard Why corruption? *cries*
@bethorien I think you know what Shik meant. You probably should stay
*stops crying* Wait what does that make you?
@Grimreaper not for long!
@Aviva / @Rosalinas everyone played with matches and knives as a kid. My brother and I got in so much trouble for starting a HUGE bonfire on the roof of our apartment building. It was my idea :)
Corruption is good for you.
.
Rumour has it: seasons don’t fear the reaper. Nor do the wind and the sun and the rain.
@grimreaper I think the internet has spilled dirt all over your mind already, but I could be wrong.
@bethorien Don‘t make me feel like I‘m getting kidnapped by them.
@xvarnah I‘m not very naive, but I don‘t get dirty jokes or references.
.
Ok, fair enough. At the earnest behest of your boyfriend (@grimreaper) and your mother (@xvarnah) I shall attempt to curb my hyper-sexuality.
.
I also have a date tonight, so that should help ;)
'
@shikharizard hopefully the night doesn't end with bloodshed
.
I have been catfished. HARD. This is a mistake. This did not help.
.
OMG
.
Do all your dates end in nudity? I don‘t want to know what happened.
@bethorien THAT‘S IT! I‘M LEAVING
@dr_richard_ew The crazy best friend
@grimreaper ...
@xvarnah Not you too, momma bear!! :O
,
Or, considering the "irl community" chat right happening now, I'm the generic funsub dad to everyone thanks to @xvarnah lol
'
@jasonmon well at some point I became the mom so I had to take someone down with me and you pretty much painted the target on yourself saying you'd be the grillmaster at the community BBQ <.<
.
@Xvarnah the young lady I spent my evening wish looked nothing like her pictures.. was not attractive.. actually smelled, like had BO.
.
Like wtf. Do people not make an effort for a first date anymore. Texted me literally 7 mins after I dropped her off, when the second date is.. BITCH ITS NEVER, GO BUY SOME DEODORANT
Also, how come you don‘t have a baby momma with your risky living? (I was about to say something but it may not come out great).
This is a safe place.
.
Expectations aren‘t gurantees though.
.
Now you mentioned being hurt, it‘s not a good idea to mention it(at least at this time).
.
Not an unusual tale. I fell in love with someone who never fell in love with me.
.
Why is it not a good idea to mention it? Let’s not harp on about it, but I’m not ashamed of it. Is there some reason I should be?
.
@grimreaper I suppose, but definitely a past generation.
.
Oooo tell me about it. Don‘t leave out the details lol
.
I don‘t understand this ---> “Let’s not harp on about it, but I’m not ashamed of it. Is there some reason I should be?“
'
@aviva "harping on" basically means to carry on and on about something. He's saying (as far as I can tell) he doesn't mind talking about what happened, but he doesn't see any reason to drag the topic out, either.
Why?
'
Also, @Aviva 's yay was definitely in regards to her intuiting that you had your heartbroken-- not celebrating that it happened haha
And ok. I meant it was not a good time to mention what I wanted to say earlier because you brought up being heart broken, and it didn‘t seem like the right time to tell a joke
.
And I suppose so, but not something I’m incapable of taking about. It happened, it sucked. Gotta move on regardless of some pain. If I absolutely couldn’t talk about something I just wouldn’t have brought it up.
.
I understand *hugs*
.
@Aviva always.
*hugs*
'
I don't actually remember which one this was separate from the others. My brain tends to bleed most conversations together when they involve the same people haha
.
I agree, but this one stood out from the bleeding. I’m pretty sure this is the one where I told you about tasting blood. I associate that hideous Ross picture to it.
'
Ohh is this the one that originated from? Good grief as if blood in your mouth isn't an unpleasant enough experience now you get to associate afro-ross with it
.
To be honest, yeah it was gross, but life goes on. Women go through so much shit for men, from time to time, I feel like it’s almost fair I took one for the team. She definitely enjoyed the experience ;)
Other animal's blood in another hand tastes absolutely inferior.
.
I HATE being taken for granted so I’m sensitive to that, and I don’t think its very fair. Also just periods- and everything that goes with that.
.
She on the other hand is just scary af
'
@shikharizard Idk I think men go through a lot for women, too. The ones worthwhile, anyway. Periods do sick, however, so we've got the market cornered in that regard
.
And we do! But like you said, its for the worthwhile women to show recognition of that effort from men- like it's for the worthwhile men to recognize that in women. At least.. that's how I see it.
But the feeling it gives
My preferences are cute boy/girl from 13 to 18 and handsome man from 35 to 45.
I'm picky.
'
Pretty much. Although what makes a person "worthwhile" varies sometimes from person to person
.
@Xvarnah Are you planning on spending significant amounts of time around other animal corpses?!
.
And yes, but I think for 99% of well-adjusted people, the majority of "preferred traits" would be similar or identical. Jury's still out as to whether I count as "well-adjusted".
'
Haha I suppose, although most of us end up disagreeing on exactly how we want those traits portrayed. I didn't realize any of us were well adjusted
.
I think we quite often hear or see only what we want to see. Part of why a lot of potentially great partners get passed over, and we deliberately make poor choices instead. And that's an encouraging thought- we're all bonkers!
.
@Rosalinas Duhhhh. That's why I said I'd do it.
'
Most likely. Or else we decide an entirely benign behaviour is actually beyond annoying and we let it grate on us. Tbh you seem to have a very well established idea of what a relationship should be like and what you want out of it
.
Yeah, it’s always baffled me the things people let bother them. Within the realm of reasonable, virtually nothing my exes did ever bothered me- but each asked me it give up or change some of my most obscure habits.
.
I do- but it’s comforting to hear someone else say it. Do you?
The list of what he did wrong is so long it is insane.
But let's get a list going lol
Starting with:
Dated one of his college students.
In her own words all of this is a bit... icky.
'
'
From what I can recall, Chandler, ironically, is probably the one with the healthiest relationship track record overall
'
Phoebe went on the date with that guy who lost his cellphone who was much older than her, Rachel also dated that jock guy who was a student (but not her student), but she was doing this as a revenge-mance against Ross iirc. Which is, y'know, healthy
.
If people love, like or are just attracted to each other. Que será será. In Ancient Greece teachers used to hook up with students all the time. The transfer of knowledge was considered an intimate, passionate act. Feelings were caught. Sex was had. Ross dated a student. The world kept spinning.
He always was willing to back any of his friends up
Was willing to put aside his feelings both so Chandler could date the velveteen rabbit girl, and during the whole "having a crush on Rachel phase 1" thing
'
Chandler could be an ass at times, but he wasn't a bad guy by far.
,
When they were first airing, I related to Ross the most but now I'm a mixture of Joey and Chandler, and Ross' helpless attitude about everything makes me want to grab him and yell at him.
