Found a site that says 66%...so that’s a big discrepancy. As well, pitbulls are used in dogfighting and are one of the most mistreated breeds. Of course they will be aggressive.

I'm not a dog fan myself, but even I know that a well trained/cared for pitbull can be one of the least violent dogs...

Its maulings, not attacks. Pit bulls are powerful so even if they are a standard level of aggressive the above standard level of damage they cause can explain the statistic.

Actually that's incorrect. Despite popular belief, Dogs are responsible for only 72% of all dog bites, with 18% being commited by cats and a further 10% being commited by various creatures like birds or the Tasmanian Devil.
