Even though you called as things were escalating, and they said they'd be there as soon as possible.
.
Then afterwards they tell you they didn't knock on the door or call because the aggressor was armed and they didn't want any of their officers to get hurt.
My favorite cop story: a woman was drugged and raped at the hotel I worked at. When the cop came he asked the victim "what did you do to make them do this?" My coworker flipped out and demanded to see his supervisor, who proceeded to arrive 7 hours later. I was working overnight that day and had to wait till noon before I could leave.
I'd find someway to get them fired but firstly educated so he knows the true damage of that comment and why it's an unacceptable thing to say. The LAST thing you want to do is make a victim of abuse believe it is their fault.
*sad face*
