Australians: how do you cope with the dangerous wildlife on a day-to-day basis?

Keep to the cities majority of the time where it is less dangerous than the outback. Remember most animals are more scared of you than you are of them and ensure you keep up with your first aid training. Keep your wits about you and learn about the local wildlife.

yeah it's not actually as bad as everyone thinks, you mostly just don't think about it, especially if you don't live in the country. fucking scary when a huntsman's in the bathroom or laundry though

Honestly it's just so our kids dont go to school saying shit and fuck cause a lot of parents get easily offended. Dang and gosh and crap and even witch instead of bitch are often taught to children. It's something few adults say unless they have kids.

More or less. “Heck” is considered more ok than “hell,” “oh poo” or the like is ok in polite but not formal conversation but not “oh shit.” “Go fuck yourself” vs “go screw yourself,” etc. I suppose it’s not that odd. Words with similar or the same meaning often have different emotional “weight.” Writers, lawyers, advertisers- there’s billions of dollars in simply knowing which word is best to use to produce a desired emotional response.

In most cases... Go take a huge steaming crap and then stare at it for an hour. And yet when they can't deal with their problems themselves who do they call for help?

Picture America as a big melting pot. Now picture some guy dumping a whole variety of metal into the one melting pot. Now picture the metal cooling and instead of being mixed together to make one new metal, all the metals separate into their own groups and yell at the other metals for not being the same metal as they are. And every 8 years some new guy comes in and reheats the pot and melts all the metals together with even newer metals. Long story short the answer is no one. No one can help us. Not even ourselves
