I..... does PETA not think we know where milk comes from? If I had a problem with cow tit juice.... would I be drinking milk? What a stupid statement. “Would you eat shit off the ground? Because your vegetables come from the ground...” or “would you eat dead animals? Because plants sometimes break down dead animals...” like.... what in the even is this? And why would we have to suck on cow titty? We have hands?! Like... do you just walk up and munch potato right in the ground or do you use your HANDS to harvest it and clean it and prepare it to eat like a civilized human who knows what agriculture or farming is...?
The thing that really gets me is when they try to be all clever about the whole thing. It seldom if ever is. “Dead flesh is gross!” I beg to differ. “Ok- but do you know the animal probably doesn’t want to get eaten?” Yes I do thank you. “And you can live with that?!” Yes. Yes I can. Ok. Conversation done. No need to strain those brain cells. Save em for figuring out how to make lentils taste like bacon or for the chemistry lab aka kitchen. “You’ll die young!” Ok man. Save it. Then all us barbaric meat eaters will die and y’all can inherit the earth. Win win yeah?
I'm still not over that YouTuber or whatever who was pushing a vegan diet on people that had literally caused her to be hospitalized and instead of telling people about it she just kept pushing the product while telling people how much healthier veganism is (she was eating meat at the time)

There's pros and cons to all three lifestyles, but if you're trying to convince someone then the tactics PETA uses are never the way to do it. Then again, I'm pretty sure the Steve Irwin thing alienated most of the world, so I suppose this is somehow a step up..
I sadly do not recall that part. Lol. The case sticks with me but as is the case with most youtubers- I don’t find committing their names to long term memory worth the brain cells. A more recent case which I do recall is that of “Liz and Mari” or mary(?) something like that. One of them (Mari?) had stage 4 cancer and claimed she cured it with juice and religion. A sweet side effect was she also claims it cured her of her “lesbian lifestyle” so I suppose we can add that along with vitamin C to the properties of fresh squeezed OJ.
Anyhow- the duo advocated this to their followers, ran paid content on it and even advocated specific brands/models of juicer as being better at making juice to cure lesbianism/cancer. Then Mari(?) died. Liz kept the content up for awhile, and still did interviews etc. and said she stood by all she had said. She blamed Mari’s family and the fact that they got her to eat meat and do chemotherapy for having killed her- stating that if she’d denied medical treatment and continued the “lifestyle” she had been on her stage 4 cancer of the blood, kidneys, and lungs would have been kept in check. She also blamed the fact that Mari’s family used microwave ovens to cook- referencing the “well known” cancer causing powers of using a microwave in the same home as a human being.
^that's still ridiculous but that sounds like a more obvious brand of bullshit from a garden variety socio-influencer to me. Not saying what they did isn't terrible, but anytime someone tells you they have the cure for gay people you can usually know that person is not actually paying any attention to reality. I somehow doubt anyone other than Liz is going to be truly surprised when Liz dies

@purplepumpkin had to Google it but her name was Rawvana. She based her entire youtube channel as I understand it around pushing a vegan diet (which she profited from). It only came out after she accidentally had a picture posted while on vacation that showed fish on the plate in front of her. People naturally lost their minds and she had to Explain that the diet she had been pushing nearly killed her and the doctors had (iirc) ordered her to eat meat. Instead of being forthright about it and trying to improve or discontinue her product, she kept pushing it...
Ok thanks! I had briefly seen Rawvana but thought she just lied about being vegan, I had missed the other part.
The Liz and Mari's story is so sad and gloomy.
