Despite the idea that we are beasts that don't give up sounding pretty cool. It's seems that we don't have the risk and reward trait that most species have. Animals like cats don't expend more energy that will be returned from their food. It's seems like a waste using more energy to catch a prey than the prey is worth.

Imagine, you've been running for 10 minutes straight, and collapse in the shadow of a tree. You look out into the horizon, and this weird hairless ape is power-walking towards you.

Plus we can injure ourselves, even break a limb, and NOT die of shock.
