Yes, the Vasa museum is like stepping back to a simpler time when what the King said was what mattered. At least until you tried to use it and physics got a hold of it.
The ship is basically a dick measuring contest between kings. Some king somewhere had two gun decks so we had to build two gun decks, some king had a really tall boat so we had to build a taller boat and nevermind that the original construction was already half finished and only allowed for one gun deck.
