I have what's call Exploding Head Syndrome. It's not all the time but occasionally just before I fall asleep or wake up I hear massive explosions like a bomb going off.

I get that too! I've asked my doc and read about it, and it happens to quite a lot of people actually. Science cannot explain it yet. But it's not problematic or dangerous, just a tad bit weird and sometimes annoying.

Me too. Happened more frequently when I was younger but still happens. Sometimes, instead of explosions I hear noise that just gets louder and louder until it wakes me up. Like crowd noise.

I have this when I wake up in the middle of the night...it is very odd. I always think there is someone up or in my house listening to music and I search everywhere.

A wide variety of shit can happen in our brains. You can actually believe you're dead and decaying, have a crippling fear your penis is crawling backwards inside your body, feel like your hand has a life and will on its own... Auditive hallucinations seem pretty cool now huh? :D
