Deltora Quest
A series of short books, really interesting narrative and exciting adventure
TBH I recommend this if you don't have a lot of time to read.
Also, the Inside Out and Outside In duology is packed with cool sci-fi mystery stuff
Stephen King is great! If you’re not into the big baddies and supernatural stuff, I’d recommend The Long Walk.
If you’re like me and prefer the human monster, Misery is another great title.
11/22/63 is also super! Time travel/love/mystery.
The Shining is a masterpiece IMO.
But pick up King and you’ll keep picking his work up.
"The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers; Economic Change and Military Conflict from 1500 to 2000."

Good book of you wanna understand why and how europe became what it is today. Granted the segments after the 1980's are speculative at best considering the book was published around that time but otherwise it's a good read.
The wheel of time series. As a fan of the fantasy genre it will be your greatest challenge(15 books) then wash it down with Brandon Sanderson, mistborn trilogy, Stormlight archive, Name of the wind, wise mans fear, elantris. For hard sci fi there’s Neal Asher’s transformation trilogy(imagine star ships so massive, they’re not allowed past Jupiter otherwise they warp space time and create tsunamis on earth. Imagine wise cracking AIs that conquered earth in 12 minutes)
I like pretty much anything Dean Knootz writes.
