Does anyone do this?

I do. My aunt taught me that I was expendable when I was a kid.

They taught me to do that with my dog so she wouldn't jut out into traffic.

I do this with everyone I walk with. Even strangers.

My mother taught me to do this always, but especially when I’m bigger than the other person as I had a better chance of not dieing

I do this with my friends but especially my sister. It's like a protecting habit

I always do this, as if my one body would be enough to stop them getting hit by an out of control car lmfao

My dad told me this. "Kids, women and dogs (so everything you truly love) shall walk away from the streets." I've been mocked for this sometimes, but I think it's one of the rare cool, chivalrous, old fashioned gentleman things you can do without being blamed to be sexist.

My boyfriend and I totally don't. Because I Iike balancing on the curb. Also he's so tall but I wanna see what's going on in the street. I think I'd feel mildly claustrophobic if I was trapped between tall bf and taller wall.

I do it to pets and drunk friends. Anything I trust less than myself to not trip into the street, basically.

I do. And I also throw my right arm out to push a passenger back if I have to brake quickly. I know they have a safety belt and an airbag. I just do it.

My dad taught me that if a lady is walking near the edge of the sidewalk and the man beside her,it makes it look like he is pimping her out. So a gentleman should always walk near the sidewalk so it doesn't look like that

My boyfriend does it - he always makes sure I don't get splashed by cars hitting the puddles and slush especially this time of year.

My guys friends do this for me. I’m so used to it that i don’t even notice most of the time.

I do this with my kids. I don’t trust people’s driving skills so I like to have them away from the street.

My mom does this whenever she walks with me :)

I carry my bag on the right and she carries hers on the left. Bag side is uncomfortable side. So we switch.
