I thought of a border collie since that was the breed I grew up with. But I'm pretty sure our cairn terrier would do this too if she would have been afraid of the vacuum cleaner since she does sit in between of men and me eventhough she's afraid of men
Good old Shelby was just always there, never wanted to leave our company. That's the nicest thing she ever did for me.
Actually on second thought, she would brutally eviscerate snakes. They were just harmless water snakes, but she would rip them apart so violently that there would be blood and snake guts on our lawn. Never so protective and aggressive towards anything else in life. She must've thought they were a serious threat. And she protected us from them. Thanks Shelby!
