Lol. I could agree with that. Philosophical advice? Opinions? Sure, with the same scrutiny as anyone else’s. The problem to me isn’t that doctors can’t have opinions- it’s that using the title of Dr. when one makes an opinion can give the impression of authority- even worse when a Doctor speaks outside their speciality and invokes authority using their title. “America’s” “Holistic” “Beauty” Dr- is most certainly the latter- a self fashioned title made of nonsense which obscured the doctors actual area of expertise. I agree with the core idea of his message- but not his delivery.
This has nothing to do with a stance on the post itself.

But idk what I did wrong today. Turned on a stream that's normally pretty chill. Ended up with it going into deep detail about family planning selling organs from babies born alive, and the graphics behind abortion. Came here to try and unsnarl my brain a bit and the first thing I see starts talking about tubal litigation and vasectomies. I'm not SAYING the universe is out to get me, but it will probably be a solid 4 hours before I can uncross my legs again
If that makes you feel this level of general horror everytime than you have my sincerest condolences haha

And @dr_richard_ew I'm not sure what you're asking
Real men don’t get vasectomies. Vasectomies are something “real men” may elect to get. A vasectomy is a simpler, more easily reversed, and less risky procedure than a woman getting “her tubes tied.” It’s less painful generally and has a quicker recovery. Male birth control hormones are now hitting the market too. They have potential for unpleasant or dangerous side effects. This is something female birth control has had since its inception. So it shouldn’t be a man’s world, and it shouldn’t be a woman’s world. It should be our world.
Birth control isn’t a gendered issue- but women do carry more of the risks and less pleasant aspects of pregnancy. Use condoms. Male or female- whatever works for you both best. One or both of you take hormonal birth control of that is a decision you feel is best for you. Or- get snipped. If a woman doesn’t want children- ever- and is sure of it- but maybe isn’t so sure about her partner being forever- she may decide that she wants to have surgery so that she doesn’t have to worry with any current or future partners- for example. A man may do the same.
Partners also need to be aware that NO birth control is 100% effective. There is a SLIGHTLY higher chance that you can still conceive a baby with a tubal ligation than a vasectomy- and it is important to note that entropic pregnancy- a potentially dangerous pregnancy where an egg is fertilized before reaching the uterus- can still occur sometimes with tubal ligation
The truth is that both procedures are counted to be about 99.x% effective and both are considered extremely safe- but there are obviously more potential risks to tubal ligation. A man isn’t a hero for getting snipped any more than he is a villain for not wanting to. In the end- man or woman- it is our body and our choice. If neither partner wants to get surgery, and neither wants to use condoms, and neither wants to use hormonal birth control, and not both wants to have a baby- then you need to talk to your partner and figure out what that means and what you will do about it. There’s no shame in refusing to have elective surgery as long as you aren’t expecting the other person to do it either- that goes both ways. It has to be a mutual decision that both partners can accept the outcome of- or find someone who you are more compatible with. Or... enjoy whatever kid(s) you may have.
Imma leave my two cents here. This should be a discussion made between partners first and foremost.

If the partners are for certain they do not want to have any children and/or anymore children period then imo it could go either way but (my research on this is admittedly lacking so i apologize in advance if I'm incorrect) a womans steralization is much more perminant than a mans in that mens can be undone much more easily, even several decades later. If the partners are unsure of whether they want more kids then the man should undergo a vasectomy as that is much more easily reversed. Again it should be a decision made between the partners.

Now that being said a partner pressuring another to undergo any life changing surgery such as this is disgusting and entirely toxic. Imo whichever party brings up the sterlization should automatically be the first in line for the surgery.
So here's the two cents of a guy with kids: it's not my effing decision whether or not my fiancee has a tubal ligation done, just as it's not her effing decision whether or not I get a vasectomy. That said, fellas, from what I'm told by a buddy who had a vasectomy, the couple days after suck, but, it's no big deal, and you can have it reversed now so suck it up and deal as we're very fickle creatures and will likely change our minds a few times

I heard that the vasectomy is not nearly fool-proof, can be extremely painful and can take a looong time to heal. As a woman, considering this and having asked my doctors, I’ll be going for the tubal.
Ewqua... get with the times here. Constantly “knowledge” is leftist propaganda. “Science” and “experts” and “basic observation and comprehension” keep suddenly saying that things that were the norm for thousands of years are somehow “bad for society” or “harmful to people” and what is worse- is this “knowledge” wants us to consider everyone as “people” and says we should treat them that way! - and not just knowledge- because it pals around with that freaking liberal known as “logic.” It all started the moment we let “knowledge” tell is our fool proof witch detection systems didn’t work. Then the witches infiltrated society unchecked, and now look at things! We have female skiers. Don’t they realize that if women jump too hard their uterus can fall out?!?!! “Knowledge” tried to cover that one up too. Don’t drink the Koolaid!!!
I have a 3 inch long scar from a urologist with a scalpel who shot local anesthesia THROUGH the tissue he was supposed to be injecting INTO. 2,165 second procedure ... yes, you count the seconds when you feel scrotal cords being pulled by gloved fingers, and 8 weeks of healing the MRSA infected abcess later, I got an apology letter. NEVER DO ANYTHING FOR ANYONE, FVCK THE ALL AND LEAVE A STICKY MESS.

I think not.
Worst case for woman. Death
Worst case for man. Excruciating pain when you ejaculate.
Debate, go!
