Dark is the only chocolate. Extra dark. Milk "chocolate" doesn't count. As for white chocolate, I don't really consider that a chocolate and have to be in a specific mood for it.
white chocolate, from a culinary viewpoint, is actually not chocolate. The defining feature of chocolate is the ingredient "cocoa solids" which are the solid biproduct of one of the processes refining the cocoa plant. White chocolate does not have this and as such isn't in the family of foods "chocolates".
Milk chocolate is just dark chocolate mixed with sugar and milk basically, its got all the same "chocolate" parts as dark chocolate has.
now chocolate neither reads as a word nor sounds like a word spoke to me lol
White chocolate is a contradiction. It's not chocolate if it doesn't have any cocoa in it. I myself prefer dark; the darker the better. Just like coffee. I really dig Italian style espresso.
Yeah! Recently developed third kind of chocolate (fourth if you count white chocolate) it's pink and is mild and creamy with very fruity notes. Tastes kind of like strawberries and cream to me. Chocolove has a very good bar they make of it.
White for bakning, milk for snacking while on the go, dark for baking, snacking at home and pms. I have a favorite but all of them have a place in my heart.
